One statute must apply ¹  to you who belong to the congregation and to the resident foreigner who is living among you, as a permanent ²  statute for your future generations. You and the resident foreigner will be alike ³  before the Lord.

These are the stipulations, statutes, and ordinances that Moses spoke to the Israelites after he had brought them out of Egypt,

So keep the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that I today am commanding you to do.

and to keep the Lord’s commandments and statutes that I am giving ¹  you today for your own good?

That day Joshua drew up an agreement ¹  for the people, and he established rules and regulations ²  for them in Shechem.

For I am aware of all his regulations, ¹  and I do not reject his rules. ² 

For I am aware of all his regulations, ¹  and I do not reject his rules. ² 

so that they might keep his commands and obey ¹  his laws. Praise the Lord!

and follows my statutes and observes my regulations by carrying them out. ¹  That man ²  is righteous; he will certainly live, ³  declares the sovereign Lord.

I did this ¹  because they rejected my regulations, did not follow my statutes, and desecrated my Sabbaths; for their hearts followed their idols. ² 

I did this ¹  because they did not observe my regulations, they rejected my statutes, they desecrated my Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on ²  their fathers’ idols.

“‘My servant David will be king over them; there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow ¹  my regulations and carefully observe my statutes. ² 

So these things must be a statutory ordinance ¹  for you throughout your generations, in all the places where you live.

He spoke to them from a pillar of cloud; ¹  they obeyed his regulations and the ordinance he gave them.

If a resident foreigner lives ¹  among you and wants to keep ²  the Passover to the Lord, he must do so according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its custom. You must have ³  the same ⁴  statute for the resident foreigner ⁵  and for the one who was born in the land.’”

All this will come to pass ¹  because Abraham obeyed me ²  and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” ³ 

This is ¹  a perpetual statute throughout your generations ²  in all the places where you live: You must never eat any fat or any blood.’” ³ 

This is to be a perpetual statute for you ¹  to make atonement for the Israelites for ²  all their sins once a year.” ³  So he did just as the Lord had commanded Moses. ⁴ 

So they must no longer offer ¹  their sacrifices to the goat demons, ²  acting like prostitutes by going after them. ³  This is to be a perpetual statute for them throughout their generations. ⁴ 

So you must keep ¹  my statutes and my regulations; anyone who does so will live by keeping them. ²  I am the Lord.
