Jeremiah started to leave Jerusalem to go to the territory of Benjamin. He wanted to make sure he got his share of the property that was being divided up among his family there. ¹ 

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, ¹  “Lord, save me!”

you know what happened throughout Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John announced: ¹ 

Then you’re not that Egyptian who started a rebellion ¹  and led the four thousand men of the ‘Assassins’ ²  into the wilderness ³  some time ago?” ⁴ 

Are you so foolish? Although you began ¹  with ²  the Spirit, are you now trying to finish ³  by human effort? ⁴ 

Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take the censer, put burning coals from the altar in it, place incense on it, and go quickly into the assembly and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the Lord – the plague has begun!”

Then I related to them how the good hand of my God was on me and what ¹  the king had said to me. Then they replied, “Let’s begin rebuilding right away!” ²  So they readied themselves ³  for this good project.

Now ¹  as Jesus ²  was starting out on his way, someone ran up to him, fell on his knees, and said, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” ³ 

So Jacob went on his way and the angels of God ¹  met him.

“When someone’s body has a boil on its skin ¹  and it heals,

This was the first time they set out on their journey according to the commandment ¹  of the Lord, by the authority ²  of Moses.

And what I intended to do to them I will do to you.”

It was some time after this when the Ammonites fought with Israel.

Who can make ¹  a clean thing come from an unclean? ²  No one!

My wounds ¹  are infected and starting to smell, ²  because of my foolish sins. ³ 

He turns springs into streams; ¹  they flow between the mountains.

He looks down on the earth and it shakes; he touches the mountains and they start to smolder.

From eternity I was appointed, ¹  from the beginning, from before the world existed. ² 

Hatred ¹  stirs up dissension, but love covers all transgressions. ² 

A perverse person ¹  spreads dissension, and a gossip separates the closest friends. ²
