¹ “For six years ²  you are to sow your land and gather in its produce.

They cultivated ¹  fields, and planted vineyards, which yielded a harvest of fruit. ² 

So what benefit ¹  did you then reap ²  from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.

For you write down ¹  bitter things against me and cause me to inherit the sins of my youth. ² 

He handed the territory of nations over to them, and they took possession of what other peoples had produced, ¹ 

A time to be born, ¹  and a time to die; ²  a time to plant, and a time to uproot what was planted;

Two people are better than one, because they can reap ¹  more benefit ²  from their labor.

At the risk ¹  of our lives ²  we get our food ³  because robbers lurk ⁴  in the countryside. ⁵ 

I have appointed a time to reap judgment ¹  for you also, O Judah!Whenever I want to restore the fortunes of my people, ² 

And when the grain is ripe, he sends in the sickle ¹  because the harvest has come.” ² 

For the one who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, ¹  and there are no exceptions. ² 

And the fruit that consists of righteousness ¹  is planted ²  in peace among ³  those who make peace.

I do not want you to be unaware, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  that I often intended to come to you (and was prevented until now), so that I may have some fruit even among you, just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles. ³ 

For these past two years there has been famine in ¹  the land and for five more years there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.

It will be as when one gathers the grain harvest, and his hand gleans the ear of grain. It will be like one gathering the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.

you will be blessed, you who plant seed by all the banks of the streams, ¹  you who let your ox and donkey graze. ² 

Even though they have hired lovers among the nations, ¹  I will soon gather them together for judgment. ²  Then ³  they will begin to waste away under the oppression of a mighty king. ⁴ 

But now, freed ¹  from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit ²  leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

When you gather in the crop, ¹  give ²  one-fifth of it to Pharaoh, and the rest ³  will be yours for seed for the fields and for you to eat, including those in your households and your little children.”

“Be sure of this, ¹  the time is ²  coming,” says the Lord, “when the plowman will catch up to the reaper ³  and the one who stomps the grapes ⁴  will overtake ⁵  the planter. ⁶  Juice will run down the slopes, ⁷  it will flow down all the hillsides. ⁸
