Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

But sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of wrong desires. ¹  For apart from the law, sin is dead.

For the ground that has soaked up the rain that frequently falls on ¹  it and yields useful vegetation for those who tend it receives a blessing from God.

‘for there will be a peaceful time of sowing, the vine will produce its fruit and the ground its yield, and the skies ¹  will rain down dew. Then I will allow the remnant of my people to possess all these things.

For see what this very thing, this sadness ¹  as God intended, has produced in you: what eagerness, what defense of yourselves, ²  what indignation, ³  what alarm, what longing, what deep concern, ⁴  what punishment! ⁵  In everything you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

He enabled him ¹  to travel over the high terrain of the land, and he ate of the produce of the fields. He provided honey for him from the cliffs, ²  and olive oil ³  from the hardest of ⁴  rocks, ⁵ 

They invaded the land ¹  and devoured ²  its crops ³  all the way to Gaza. They left nothing for the Israelites to eat, ⁴  and they took away ⁵  the sheep, oxen, and donkeys.

He will water the seed you plant in the ground, and the ground will produce crops in abundance. ¹  At that time ²  your cattle will graze in wide pastures.

In a good field, by abundant waters, it was planted to grow branches, bear fruit, and become a beautiful vine.

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. ²  But if it dies, it produces ³  much grain. ⁴ 

You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, ¹  which is producing through us thanksgiving to God,

your cattle, and the wild animals that are in your land – all its produce will be for you ¹  to eat.

The land produced vegetation – plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.

When you finish tithing all ¹  your income in the third year (the year of tithing), you must give it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows ²  so that they may eat to their satisfaction in your villages. ³ 

At the designated time ¹  Cain brought some of the fruit of the ground for an offering ²  to the Lord.

¹ “For six years ²  you are to sow your land and gather in its produce.

The breath of God produces ice, and the breadth of the waters freeze solid.

For the hills bring it food, ¹  where all the wild animals play.

They ate all the vegetation in their land, and devoured the crops of their fields. ¹
