Abandon your foolish ways ¹  so that you may live, ²  and proceed ³  in the way of understanding.”

The Lord abhors ¹  the way of the wicked, but he loves those ²  who pursue ³  righteousness.

A person’s folly ¹  subverts ²  his way, and ³  his heart rages ⁴  against the Lord.

Listen, my child, ¹  and be wise, and guide your heart on the right way.
