Then he must sprinkle ¹  some of the blood of the sin offering on the wall of the altar, and the remainder of the blood ²  must be squeezed out at the base of the altar – it is a sin offering.

“Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is the law of the sin offering. In the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered the sin offering must be slaughtered before the Lord. It is most holy. ¹ 

He must then slaughter ¹  the male lamb in the place where ²  the sin offering ³  and the burnt offering ⁴  are slaughtered, ⁵  in the sanctuary, because, like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; ⁶  it is most holy.

“Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself, and he is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household. He is to slaughter the sin offering bull which is for himself,

and the priest is to make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the Lord for his sin that he has committed, ¹  and he will be forgiven ²  of his sin ³  that he has committed.

Then the priests slaughtered them. They offered their blood as a sin offering on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had decreed ¹  that the burnt sacrifice and sin offering were for all Israel.

I said, “Too bad for me! I am destroyed, ¹  for my lips are contaminated by sin, ²  and I live among people whose lips are contaminated by sin. ³  My eyes have seen the king, the Lord who commands armies.” ⁴ 

However, if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he ¹  does not sin, he will certainly live because he was warned, and you will have saved your own life.”

While I was still speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my request before the LORD my God concerning his holy mountain ¹  –

So the Lord said, “The outcry against ¹  Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so blatant ² 

“‘But if he brings a sheep as his offering, for a sin offering, he must bring a flawless female.

“Then he is to offer up the fat of the sin offering ¹  in smoke on the altar,

You must also offer ¹  one male goat ²  for a sin offering and two yearling lambs for a peace offering sacrifice,

Moreover, ¹  you are to tell the Israelites, ‘If any man curses his God ²  he will bear responsibility for his sin,

¹ “‘If you ²  sin unintentionally and do not observe all these commandments that the Lord has spoken to Moses –

No longer may the Israelites approach the tent of meeting, or else they will bear their sin ¹  and die.

If a person commits a sin punishable by death and is executed, and you hang the corpse ¹  on a tree,

Then Saul said, “All you leaders of the army come here. Find out ¹  how this sin occurred today.

She asked Elijah, “Why, prophet, have you come ¹  to me to confront me with ²  my sin and kill my son?”

Obadiah ¹  said, “What sin have I committed that you are ready to hand your servant over to Ahab for execution? ²
