If a false ¹  witness testifies against another person and accuses him of a crime, ² 

For ¹  wrath kills the foolish person, ²  and anger ³  slays the silly one.

Moreover, this will become my deliverance, for no godless person would come before him. ¹ 

“How you have helped ¹  the powerless! ²  How you have saved the person who has no strength! ³ 

“Indeed, God does all these things, twice, three times, in his dealings ²  with a person,

For he does not still consider a person, ¹  that he should come before God in judgment.

Your wickedness affects only ¹  a person like yourself, and your righteousness only other people. ² 

If a person ¹  does not repent, God sharpens his sword ²  and prepares to shoot his bow. ³ 

I will have nothing to do with a perverse person; ¹  I will not permit ²  evil.

A person’s life is like grass. ¹  Like a flower in the field it flourishes,

To impart ¹  shrewdness ²  to the morally naive, ³  and ⁴  a discerning ⁵  plan ⁶  to the young person. ⁷ 

lest you give your vigor ¹  to others and your years to a cruel person,

a false witness who pours out lies, ¹  and a person who spreads discord ²  among family members. ³ 

Whoever corrects ¹  a mocker is asking for ²  insult; ³  whoever reproves a wicked person receives ⁴  abuse.

The wise person ¹  accepts instructions, ²  but the one who speaks foolishness ³  will come to ruin. ⁴ 

The blessing ¹  from the Lord ²  makes a person rich, ³  and he adds no sorrow ⁴  to ⁵  it.

When a wicked person dies, his expectation perishes, ¹  and the hope of his strength ²  perishes. ³ 

The righteous person is delivered ¹  out of trouble, and the wicked turns up in his stead. ² 

The wicked person ¹  earns ²  deceitful wages, ³  but the one who sows ⁴  righteousness reaps ⁵  a genuine ⁶  reward. ⁷ 

The wicked person desires a stronghold, ¹  but the righteous root ²  endures. ³
