For this reason all hands hang limp, ¹  every human heart loses its courage. ² 

Strengthen the hands that have gone limp, steady the knees that shake! ¹ 

Let us lift up our hearts ¹  and our hands to God in heaven:

All of their hands will hang limp; their knees will be wet with urine. ¹ 

(The cherubim appeared to have the form ¹  of human hands under their wings.)

Then ¹  a hand touched me and set me on my hands and knees. ² 

And he placed his hands on them and went on his way. ¹

It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands ¹  will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of ²  the Shepherd, the Rock ³  of Israel,

You are to put all these ¹  in Aaron’s hands ²  and in his sons’ hands, and you are to wave them as a wave offering ³  before the Lord.

All of them were wanting ¹  to scare us, supposing, “Their hands will grow slack from the work, and it won’t get done.” So now, strengthen my hands! ² 

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I look the other way; ¹  when you offer your many prayers, I do not listen, because your hands are covered with blood. ² 

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this temple, ¹  and his hands will complete it.” Then you will know that the Lord who rules over all has sent me to you.
