A fool rejects his father’s discipline, but whoever heeds reproof shows good sense. ¹ 

A bright look ¹  brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the body. ² 

As for the one who repays ¹  evil for good, evil will not leave ²  his house. ³ 

A cheerful heart ¹  brings good healing, ²  but a crushed spirit ³  dries up the bones. ⁴ 

Like cold water to a weary person, ¹  so is good news from a distant land. ² 

The sluggard is wiser in his own estimation ¹  than seven people who respond with good sense. ² 

She brings him ¹  good and not evil ²  all the days of her life.

Sorrow ¹  is better than laughter, because sober reflection ²  is good for the heart. ³ 

Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much that is good.

For God will evaluate every deed, ¹  including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Then the Lord said to me, “Do not pray for good to come to these people! ¹ 

“You say, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets of good news ¹  for us here in Babylon.’

It is good to wait patiently ¹  for deliverance from the Lord. ² 

It is good for a man ¹  to bear ²  the yoke ³  while he is young. ⁴ 

צ (Tsade) For no good reason ¹  my enemies hunted me down ²  like a bird.

But Israel has rejected what is morally good; so an enemy will pursue him.

The filthy, ¹  stained city is as good as dead; the city filled with oppressors is finished! ² 

The Lord then addressed good, comforting words to the angelic messenger who was speaking to me.

He must not replace or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good, and if he does indeed exchange one animal for another animal, then both the original animal ¹  and its substitute will be holy.

Do whatever is proper ¹  and good before the Lord so that it may go well with you and that you may enter and occupy the good land that he ²  promised your ancestors,
