The ¹  foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’

He strictly ordered that no one should know about this, ¹  and told them to give her something to eat.

“But in those days, after that suffering, ¹  the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

Listen: ¹  You will become pregnant ²  and give birth to ³  a son, and you will name him ⁴  Jesus. ⁵ 

Her ¹  spirit returned, ²  and she got up immediately. Then ³  he told them to give her something to eat.

What father among you, if your ¹  son asks for ²  a fish, will give him a snake ³  instead of a fish?

But give from your heart to those in need, ¹  and ²  then everything will be clean for you. ³ 

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased ¹  to give you the kingdom.

And if you haven’t been trustworthy ¹  with someone else’s property, ²  who will give you your own ³ ?

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

For the one whom God has sent ¹  speaks the words of God, for he does not give the Spirit sparingly. ² 

A Samaritan woman ¹  came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me some water ²  to drink.”

I give ¹  them eternal life, and they will never perish; ²  no one will snatch ³  them from my hand.

Then ¹  I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate ²  to be with you forever –

God exalted him ¹  to his right hand as Leader ²  and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³ 

saying, “Give me this power ¹  too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another ¹  in accordance with Christ Jesus,

A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, ¹  and likewise a wife to her husband.

To the married I give this command – not I, but the Lord ¹  – a wife should not divorce a husband

If I partake with thankfulness, why am I blamed for the food ¹  that I give thanks for?
