Then the people said to me, “Will you not tell us what these things you are doing mean for us?”

Here then is what the Lord who rules over all says: ‘Think carefully about what you are doing. ¹ 

But when you do your giving, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

So ¹  the Pharisees ²  said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?”

and said, “By what authority ¹  are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

But some of the Pharisees ¹  said, “Why are you ²  doing what is against the law ³  on the Sabbath?”

So then the Jewish leaders ¹  responded, ²  “What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?” ³ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “You do not understand ²  what I am doing now, but you will understand ³  after these things.”

which I was doing when they found me in the temple, ritually purified, ¹  without a crowd or a disturbance. ² 

“While doing this very thing, ¹  as I was going ²  to Damascus with authority and complete power ³  from the chief priests,

and as they were leaving they said to one another, ¹  “This man is not doing anything deserving ²  death or imprisonment.”

Whatever you are doing, ¹  work at it with enthusiasm, ²  as to the Lord and not for people, ³ 

God blessed the seventh day and made it holy ¹  because on it he ceased all the work that he ²  had been doing in creation. ³ 

He asked them how they were doing. ¹  Then he said, “Is your aging father well, the one you spoke about? Is he still alive?”

“You must not follow a crowd ¹  in doing evil things; ²  in a lawsuit you must not offer testimony that agrees with a crowd so as to pervert justice, ³ 

Thus you must obey the Lord your God, keeping all his commandments that I am giving ¹  you today and doing what is right ²  before him. ³ 

I have not done you wrong, ¹  but you are doing wrong ²  by attacking me. May the Lord, the Judge, judge this day between the Israelites and the Ammonites!’”

They stopped ¹  there, went inside the young Levite’s house (which belonged to Micah), ²  and asked him how he was doing. ³ 

They will ask you how you’re doing and will give you two loaves of bread. You will accept them.

Also take these ten portions of cheese to their commanding officer. ¹  Find out how your brothers are doing ²  and bring back their pledge that they received the goods. ³
