teaching about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

“Listen, sir, ¹  you are a mighty prince ²  among us! You may bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will refuse you his tomb to prevent you ³  from burying your dead.”

David inquired, “How were things going? ¹  Tell me!” He replied, “The people fled from the battle and many of them ²  fell dead. ³  Even Saul and his son Jonathan are dead!”

Now don’t let my lord the king be concerned about the report that has come saying, ‘All the king’s sons are dead.’ It is only Amnon who is dead.”

The dead do not come back to life, the spirits of the dead do not rise. ¹  That is because ²  you came in judgment ³  and destroyed them, you wiped out all memory of them.

Moreover if the Spirit of the one ¹  who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ ²  from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you. ³ 

Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised.

The ¹  sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death ²  and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each one was judged according to his deeds.

You must not slash your body for a dead person ¹  or incise a tattoo on yourself. ²  I am the Lord.

“‘All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he must not contact ¹  a dead body. ² 

When all the community saw that Aaron was dead, the whole house of Israel mourned for Aaron thirty days.

When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his own sword and died with him.

The king replied to her, “What do you want?” ¹  She answered, “I am a widow; my husband is dead.

Abijah and his army thoroughly defeated them; ¹  500,000 well-trained Israelite men fell dead. ² 

I am forgotten, like a dead man no one thinks about; ¹  I am regarded as worthless, like a broken jar. ² 

Do you accomplish amazing things for the dead? Do the departed spirits ¹  rise up and give you thanks? (Selah)

Is your loyal love proclaimed in the grave, or your faithfulness in the place of the dead? ¹
