When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was going on.

As ¹  they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, ²  “Why are you untying that colt?”

They ¹  blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly, ²  “Prophesy! Who hit you?” ³ 

So ¹  Pilate asked Jesus, ²  “Are you the king ³  of the Jews?” He replied, “You say so.” ⁴ 

Now when Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean.

He went to Pilate and asked for the body ¹  of Jesus.

So they asked him, ¹  “How then were you made to see?” ² 

He asked, ¹  “Where have you laid him?” ²  They replied, ³  “Lord, come and see.”

Then Jesus ¹  asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene.”

So when Peter saw him, ¹  he asked Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”

Though ¹  they found ²  no basis ³  for a death sentence, ⁴  they asked Pilate to have him executed.

Then he brought them outside ¹  and asked, “Sirs, what must ²  I do to be saved?”

When they asked him to stay longer, he would not consent, ¹ 

I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me.

Ahab asked, “By whom will this be accomplished?” ¹  He answered, “This is what the Lord says, ‘By the servants of the district governors.’” Ahab ²  asked, “Who will launch the attack?” He answered, “You will.”

Then Abraham asked, “Since I have undertaken to speak to the Lord ¹  (although I am but dust and ashes), ² 

Abimelech asked Abraham, “What is the meaning of these ¹  seven ewe lambs that you have set apart?”

Isaac asked them, “Why have you come to me? You hate me ¹  and sent me away from you.”

“Is he well?” ¹  Jacob asked. They replied, “He is well. ²  Now look, here comes his daughter Rachel with the sheep.”

So when they came home ¹  to their father Reuel, ²  he asked, “Why have you come home so early ³  today?”
