But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession ¹  in Christ ²  and who makes known ³  through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place.

So now go, lead the people to the place I have spoken to you about. See, ¹  my angel will go before you. But on the day that I punish, I will indeed punish them for their sin.” ² 

As silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin are gathered in a furnace so that the fire can melt them, so I will gather you in my anger and in my rage. I will deposit you there ¹  and melt you.

Do you not know that if you present yourselves ¹  as obedient slaves, ²  you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness? ³ 

Reveal ¹  your light ²  and your faithfulness! They will lead me, ³  they will escort ⁴  me back to your holy hill, ⁵  and to the place where you live. ⁶ 

so the king of Assyria will lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, both young and old. They will be in undergarments and barefoot, with the buttocks exposed; the Egyptians will be publicly humiliated. ¹ 

I have seen their behavior, ¹  but I will heal them and give them rest, and I will once again console those who mourn. ² 

The fiery bellows of judgment burn fiercely. But there is too much dross to be removed. ¹  The process of refining them has proved useless. ²  The wicked have not been purged.

He then said, “This woman represents wickedness,” and he pushed her down into the basket and placed the lead cover on top.

(Now the betrayer ¹  had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him and lead him away under guard.”) ² 

“When the leaders took the lead ¹  in Israel, When the people answered the call to war – Praise the Lord!

Do not be angry and frustrated! ¹  Do not fret! That only leads to trouble!

But avoid profane chatter, ¹  because those occupied with it will stray further and further into ungodliness, ² 

Like a shepherd he tends his flock; he gathers up the lambs with his arm; he carries them close to his heart; ¹  he leads the ewes along.

Then the Lord answered him, ¹  “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, ²  and lead it to water? ³ 

Now the Lord was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them in the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, ¹  so that they could ²  travel day or night. ³ 

Guide me into your truth ¹  and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.

“Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.

For sadness as intended by God produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sadness brings about death.

I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; ¹  I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. ²  I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. ³  This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.
