For the Lord has planned a day of revenge, ¹  a time when he will repay Edom for her hostility toward Zion. ² 

For I looked forward to the day of vengeance, and then payback time arrived. ¹ 

A day of the Lord ¹  is about to come when your possessions ²  will be divided as plunder in your midst.

According to the number of the days you have investigated this land, forty days – one day for a year – you will suffer for ¹  your iniquities, forty years, and you will know what it means to thwart me. ² 

“When you have completed these days, then lie down a second time, but on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah 40 days ¹  – I have assigned one day for each year.

God called the expanse “sky.” ¹  There was evening, and there was morning, a second day.

You must count fifty days – until the day after the seventh Sabbath – and then ¹  you must present a new grain offering to the Lord.

On the eleventh day Pagiel son of Ocran, leader of the Asherites, presented an offering.

On the twelfth day Ahira son of Enan, leader of the Naphtalites, presented an offering.

And on the fifteenth day of this month is the festival. For seven days bread made without yeast must be eaten.

Now it is ordinarily an eleven-day journey ¹  from Horeb ²  to Kadesh Barnea ³  by way of Mount Seir. ⁴
