Therefore they will now be the first to go into exile, ¹  and the religious banquets ²  where they sprawl on couches ³  will end.

Therefore, take your weapons – your quiver and your bow – and go out into the open fields and hunt down some wild game ¹  for me.

Now then, my son, do what I say. ¹  Run away immediately ²  to my brother Laban in Haran.

Now I understand that ¹  you have gone away ²  because you longed desperately ³  for your father’s house. Yet why did you steal my gods?” ⁴ 

So now, come, let’s make a formal agreement, ¹  you and I, and it will be ²  proof that we have made peace.” ³ 

“So now Pharaoh should look ¹  for a wise and discerning man ²  and give him authority ³  over all the land of Egypt.

“So now, when I return to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us – his very life is bound up in his son’s life. ¹ 

“So now, please let your servant remain as my lord’s slave instead of the boy. As for the boy, let him go back with his brothers.

So now go, and I will send you ¹  to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”

So now go, and I will be with your mouth ¹  and will teach you ²  what you must say.” ³ 

Pharaoh was thinking, ¹  “The people of the land are now many, and you are giving them rest from their labor.”

So now, get back to work! ¹  You will not be given straw, but you must still produce ²  your quota ³  of bricks!”

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods, for in the thing in which they dealt proudly against them he has destroyed them.” ¹ 

So now, leave me alone ¹  so that my anger can burn against them and I can destroy them, and I will make from you a great nation.”

But now, if you will forgive their sin…, ¹  but if not, wipe me out ²  from your book that you have written.” ³ 

But now we ¹  are dried up, ²  and there is nothing at all before us ³  except this manna!”

So now, go back where you came from! ¹  I said that I would greatly honor you; but now the Lord has stood in the way of your honor.”

Now therefore kill every boy, ¹  and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. ² 

Now, get up and cross the Wadi Zered.” ¹  So we did so. ² 

When your ancestors went down to Egypt, they numbered only seventy, but now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of the sky. ¹
