to the one who struck down great kings, for his loyal love endures,

and killed powerful kings, for his loyal love endures,

Sihon, king of the Amorites, for his loyal love endures,

Og, king of Bashan, for his loyal love endures,

and gave their land as an inheritance, for his loyal love endures,

as an inheritance to Israel his servant, for his loyal love endures,

to the one who remembered us when we were down, ¹  for his loyal love endures,

and snatched us away from our enemies, for his loyal love endures,

Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his loyal love endures!

From eternity I was appointed, ¹  from the beginning, from before the world existed. ² 

He has made me reside in deepest darkness ¹  like those who died long ago.

כ (Kaf) For the Lord ¹  will not reject us forever. ² 

But Judah will reside securely forever, and Jerusalem will be secure ¹  from one generation to the next.

“As for your ancestors, where are they? And did the prophets live forever?

May Joab and his descendants be perpetually guilty of their shed blood, but may the Lord give perpetual peace to David, his descendants, his family, ¹  and his dynasty.” ² 

May the Lord God of Israel be praised, in the future and forevermore. ¹  Then all the people said, “We agree! ²  Praise the Lord!”

Now you are willing to bless your servant’s dynasty ¹  so that it may stand permanently before you, for you, O Lord, have blessed it and it will be blessed from now on into the future.” ² 

David praised the Lord before the entire assembly: ¹  “O Lord God of our father Israel, you deserve praise forevermore!

The Lord God of Israel deserves praise, ¹  in the future and forevermore. ²  Let all the people say, “We agree! ³  Praise the Lord!” ⁴ 

I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be a perpetual covenant with them. ¹  I will establish them, ²  increase their numbers, and place my sanctuary among them forever.
