They ate until they were stuffed; ¹  he gave them what they desired.

He sent swarms of biting insects against them, ¹  as well as frogs that overran their land. ² 

Fire consumed their ¹  young men, and their ²  virgins remained unmarried. ³ 

They worshiped ¹  Baal of Peor, and ate sacrifices offered to the dead. ² 

Therefore ¹  they will eat from the fruit ²  of their way, ³  and they will be stuffed full ⁴  of their own counsel.

you will vomit up ¹  the little bit you have eaten, and will have wasted your pleasant words. ² 

If you have a willing attitude and obey, ¹  then you will again eat the good crops of the land.

They will eat up your crops and your food. They will kill off ¹  your sons and your daughters. They will eat up your sheep and your cattle. They will destroy your vines and your fig trees. ²  Their weapons will batter down ³  the fortified cities you trust in.

So I will set Gaza’s city wall ¹  on fire; fire ²  will consume her fortresses.

So I will set Teman ¹  on fire; fire ²  will consume Bozrah’s ³  fortresses.”

So I will set Judah on fire, and it will consume Jerusalem’s fortresses.” ¹ 

Open your gates, Lebanon, so that the fire may consume your cedars. ¹ 

but ¹  you must not eat ²  from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when ³  you eat from it you will surely die.” ⁴
