So keep the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that I today am commanding you to do.

Be certain to keep all the statutes and ordinances that I am presenting to you today.

Furthermore, remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and so be careful to observe these statutes.

That day Joshua drew up an agreement ¹  for the people, and he established rules and regulations ²  for them in Shechem.

From that time onward it was a binding ordinance ¹  for Israel, right up to the present time.

May you demonstrate wholehearted devotion to the Lord our God ¹  by following ²  his rules and obeying ³  his commandments, as you are presently doing.” ⁴ 

Since man’s days ¹  are determined, ²  the number of his months is under your control; ³  you have set his limit ⁴  and he cannot pass it.

He marks out the horizon ¹  on the surface of the waters as a boundary between light and darkness.

God says this to the evildoer: ¹  “How can you declare my commands, and talk about my covenant? ²

The earth is defiled by ¹  its inhabitants, ²  for they have violated laws, disregarded the regulation, ³  and broken the permanent treaty. ⁴ 

There were two copies of the deed of purchase. One was sealed and contained the order of transfer and the conditions of purchase. ¹  The other was left unsealed.

I also gave ¹  them decrees ²  which were not good and regulations by which they could not live.

I will put my Spirit within you; ¹  I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes ²  and carefully observe my regulations. ³ 

But he did not purchase the land of the priests because the priests had an allotment from Pharaoh and they ate from their allotment that Pharaoh gave them. That is why they did not sell their land.

He cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him ¹  a tree. ²  When Moses ³  threw it into the water, the water became safe to drink. There the Lord ⁴  made for them ⁵  a binding ordinance, ⁶  and there he tested ⁷  them.
