Do you think I have come to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division! ¹ 

“Exert every effort ¹  to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

For I tell you, not one of those individuals ¹  who were invited ²  will taste my banquet!’” ³ 

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels ¹  over one sinner who repents.”

He answered, ¹  “I tell you, if they ²  keep silent, the very stones ³  will cry out!”

Then ¹  Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you ²  by whose authority ³  I do these things.”

He ¹  said, “I tell you the truth, ²  this poor widow has put in more than all of them. ³ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation ²  will not pass away until all these things take place.

For I tell you, I will not eat it again ¹  until it is fulfilled ²  in the kingdom of God.” ³ 

Jesus replied, ¹  “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow ²  today until you have denied ³  three times that you know me.”

(I do not accept ¹  human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.)

Who among you can prove me guilty ¹  of any sin? ²  If I am telling you ³  the truth, why don’t you believe me?

So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  I am the door for the sheep. ² 

I am telling you this now, ¹  before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe ²  that I am he. ³ 

¹ I am telling the truth in Christ (I am not lying!), for my conscience assures me ²  in the Holy Spirit –

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised ¹  on behalf of God’s truth to confirm the promises made to the fathers, ² 

To the unmarried and widows I say that it is best for them to remain as I am.

I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others. ¹ 

As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell! ¹ 

Brothers and sisters, ¹  I offer an example from everyday life: ²  When a covenant ³  has been ratified, ⁴  even though it is only a human contract, no one can set it aside or add anything to it.
