since ¹  we heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the saints.

But since we are of the day, we must stay sober by putting on the breastplate ¹  of faith and love and as a helmet our hope for salvation. ² 

But the aim of our instruction ¹  is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. ² 

and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus. ¹ 

But she will be delivered through childbearing, ¹  if she ²  continues in faith and love and holiness with self-control.

But you, as a person dedicated to God, ¹  keep away from all that. ²  Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance, and gentleness.

For God did not give us a Spirit ¹  of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Hold to the standard ¹  of sound words that you heard from me and do so with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. ² 

I would rather appeal ¹  to you on the basis of love – I, Paul, an old man ²  and even now a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus ³  –

The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love. ¹ 

They ¹  have testified to your love before the church. ²  You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. ³ 

maintain ¹  yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating ²  the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. ³ 

And we have come to know and to believe ¹  the love that God has in us. ²  God is love, and the one who resides ³  in love resides in God, and God resides in him.

and declared, “This man ¹  said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”

I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known, ¹  so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God ¹  has been poured out ²  in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ¹ 

nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For if your brother or sister ¹  is distressed because of what you eat, ²  you are no longer walking in love. ³  Do not destroy by your food someone for whom Christ died.
