After these days we got ready ¹  and started up ²  to Jerusalem.

Now ¹  three days after Festus ²  arrived in the province, he went up to Jerusalem ³  from Caesarea. ⁴ 

and that he was buried, and that he was raised ¹  on the third day according to the scriptures,

Apart from other things, ¹  there is the daily pressure on me of my anxious concern ²  for all the churches.

taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

because of your participation ¹  in the gospel from the first day until now. ² 

For you know quite well that the day of the Lord ¹  will come in the same way as a thief in the night. ² 

But understand this, that in the last days difficult ¹  times will come.

For if Joshua had given them rest, God ¹  would not have spoken afterward about another day.

But remember the former days when you endured a harsh conflict of suffering after you were enlightened.

By faith the walls of Jericho ¹  fell after the people marched around them ²  for seven days.

For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish ¹  for three days and three nights, ²  so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

For in those days before the flood, people ¹  were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark.

Jesus replied, ¹  “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble, ²  because he sees the light of this world. ³ 

As day was about to dawn, ¹  Paul urged them all to take some food, saying, “Today is the fourteenth day you have been in suspense ²  and have gone ³  without food; you have eaten nothing. ⁴ 

In those days John the Baptist came into the wilderness ¹  of Judea proclaiming,

So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. ¹ 

I tell you the truth, ¹  it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah ²  on the day of judgment than for that town!

On that day after Jesus went out of the house, he sat by the lake.

And after agreeing with the workers for the standard wage, ¹  he sent them into his vineyard.
