Jesus ¹  answered them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

“Sir,” ¹  the woman ²  said to him, “you have no bucket and the well ³  is deep; where then do you get this ⁴  living water? ⁵ 

The woman replied, ¹  “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “Right you are when you said, ²  ‘I have no husband,’ ³ 

The thief comes only to steal and kill ¹  and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. ² 

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. ¹  But they no longer have any excuse for their sin.

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, ¹  but take courage ²  – I have conquered the world.” ³ 

So Pilate said, ¹  “Do you refuse to speak to me? Don’t you know I have the authority ²  to release you, and to crucify you?” ³ 

For whenever the Gentiles, ¹  who do not have the law, do by nature ²  the things required by the law, ³  these who do not have the law are a law to themselves.

The faith ¹  you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself by what he approves.

But now there is nothing more to keep me ¹  in these regions, and I have for many years desired ²  to come to you

And I say this, brothers and sisters: ¹  The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need.

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, ¹  if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith ²  save him? ³ 

Their eyes, ¹  full of adultery, ²  never stop sinning; ³  they entice ⁴  unstable people. ⁵  They have trained their hearts for greed, these cursed children! ⁶ 

Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. The person who confesses the Son has the Father also. ¹ 

They have as king over them the angel of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon. ¹ 

because he taught them like one who had authority, ¹  not like their experts in the law. ² 

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ ¹ 

But when the sun came up, they were scorched, and because they did not have sufficient root, they withered.

because John had repeatedly told ¹  him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.” ²
