(The silver collected in conjunction with reparation offerings and sin offerings was not brought to the Lord’s temple; it belonged to the priests.)

All of them conspired together to move with armed forces ¹  against Jerusalem and to create a disturbance in it.

“Teach ¹  me and I, for my part, ²  will be silent; explain to me ³  how I have been mistaken. ⁴ 

Let him not trust in what is worthless, ¹  deceiving himself; for worthlessness will be his reward. ² 

The one who winks ¹  his ²  eye causes ³  trouble, and the one who speaks foolishness ⁴  will come to ruin.

The Lord abhors ¹  those who are perverse in heart, ²  but those who are blameless in their ways ³  are his delight. ⁴ 

The righteous person is cautious in his friendship, ¹  but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Righteousness ¹  guards the one who lives with integrity, ²  but wickedness ³  overthrows the sinner.

Fools mock ¹  at reparation, ²  but among the upright there is favor. ³ 

Do not those who devise ¹  evil go astray? But those who plan good exhibit ²  faithful covenant love. ³ 

Wine ¹  is a mocker ²  and strong drink is a brawler; whoever goes astray by them is not wise. ³ 

Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you, and prove you to be a liar. ¹ 

Those who stray morally will gain understanding; ¹  those who complain will acquire insight. ² 

“I will heal their waywardness ¹  and love them freely, ²  for my anger will turn ³  away from them.

so that you may know for certain ¹  the things you were taught. ² 

And when he ¹  comes, he will prove the world wrong ²  concerning sin and ³  righteousness and ⁴  judgment –

A little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise! ¹ 

Consequently ¹  God sends on them a deluding influence ²  so that they will believe what is false.

Such testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply that they may be healthy in the faith

You know ¹  that such a person is twisted by sin ²  and is conscious of it himself. ³
