“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their ¹  hands when they eat.” ² 

Then the disciples came to him and said, “Do you know that when the Pharisees ¹  heard this saying they were offended?”

When the disciples went to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

When the disciples heard this, they were overwhelmed with fear and threw themselves down with their faces to the ground. ¹ 

The disciples asked him, ¹  “Why then do the experts in the law ²  say that Elijah must come first?”

Then the disciples came ¹  to Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

The ¹  disciples said to him, “If this is the case of a husband with a wife, it is better not to marry!”

The ¹  disciples were greatly astonished when they heard this and said, “Then who can be saved?” ² 

Now ¹  when they approached Jerusalem ²  and came to Bethphage, ³  at the Mount of Olives, ⁴  Jesus sent two disciples,

When ¹  Jesus had finished saying all these things, he told his disciples,

When ¹  the disciples saw this, they became indignant and said, “Why this waste?

So ¹  they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

So ¹  the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated.

Then ¹  Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. ²  And from Judea,

Now ¹  Jesus left that place and came to his hometown, ²  and his disciples followed him.

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

And they saw that some of Jesus’ disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

Now ¹  when Jesus ²  had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha. ¹
