Can a person rob ¹  God? You indeed are robbing me, but you say, ‘How are we robbing you?’ In tithes and contributions! ² 

For they all gave out of their wealth. ¹  But she, out of her poverty, put in what she had to live on, everything she had.” ² 

and Joanna the wife of Cuza ¹  (Herod’s ²  household manager), ³  Susanna, and many others who provided for them ⁴  out of their own resources.

Also, the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution offering you must eat in a ceremonially ¹  clean place, you and your sons and daughters with you, for they have been given as your allotted portion and the allotted portion of your sons from the peace offering sacrifices of the Israelites. ²

Everyone who crosses over to those numbered, from twenty years old and up, is to pay an offering to the Lord.

and you eat ¹  some of the food of the land, you must offer up a raised offering ²  to the Lord.

You must give to the Lord some of the first of your finely ground flour as a raised offering in your future generations.

And your raised offering will be credited ¹  to you as though it were grain from the threshing floor or as new wine ²  from the winepress.

You are to take it from their half-share and give it to Eleazar the priest for a raised offering to the Lord.

(The silver collected in conjunction with reparation offerings and sin offerings was not brought to the Lord’s temple; it belonged to the priests.)

In the third month they began piling their contributions in heaps ¹  and finished in the seventh month.

The Lord works ¹  everything for its own ends ²  – even the wicked for the day of disaster. ³ 

After several years ¹  I came to bring to my people gifts for the poor ²  and to present offerings, ³ 

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: ¹ 

begging us with great earnestness for the blessing and fellowship of helping ¹  the saints.

We did this ¹  as a precaution so that no one should blame us in regard to this generous gift we are administering.

I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so that I could serve you! ¹ 

Now the one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with the one who teaches ¹  it.
