Now Michal, Saul’s daughter, had no children to the day of her death.

“As for you, get up and go home. When you set foot in the city, the boy will die.

Train ¹  a child ²  in the way that he should go, ³  and when he is old he will not turn from it. ⁴ 

Folly is bound up ¹  in the heart of a child, ²  but the rod of discipline ³  will drive it far from him.

Do not withhold discipline from a child; even if you strike him with the rod, he will not die.
