The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he delivers ¹  those who are discouraged. ² 

Pour out your judgment ¹  on them! May your raging anger ²  overtake them!

They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone. ¹ 

Take notice of this, ¹  you ignorant people! ²  You fools, when will you ever understand?

May the creditor seize ¹  all he owns! May strangers loot his property! ² 

The wicked ¹  will be captured by his ²  own iniquities, ³  and he will be held ⁴  by the cords of his own sin. ⁵ 

That is why I came out to meet you, to look for you, ¹  and I found you!

The wicked person desires a stronghold, ¹  but the righteous root ²  endures. ³ 

One who digs a pit may ¹  fall into it, and one who breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake. ² 

He said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.” ¹ 

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.

Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.” ¹ 

and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” ¹ 

In Damascus, the governor ¹  under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus ²  in order to arrest ³  me,

“‘Any man from the Israelites ¹  or from the foreigners who reside ²  in their ³  midst who hunts a wild animal ⁴  or a bird that may be eaten ⁵  must pour out its blood and cover it with soil,

I would go out after it, strike it down, and rescue the sheep from its mouth. If it rose up against me, I would grab it by its jaw, strike it, and kill it.

the wars you fear will catch up with you there in the land of Egypt. The starvation you are worried about will follow you there to ¹  Egypt. You will die there. ² 

“But be on your guard ¹  so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life, and that day close down upon you suddenly like a trap. ² 

He told them, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” ¹  So they threw the net, ²  and were not able to pull it in because of the large number of fish.

They had not gone very far from the city ¹  when Joseph said ²  to the servant who was over his household, “Pursue the men at once! ³  When you overtake ⁴  them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid good with evil?
