While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared, ¹  and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked up ²  to Jesus to kiss him. ³ 

(Now the Jewish feast of the Passover ¹  was near.) ² 

When the fourteenth night had come, while we were being driven ¹  across the Adriatic Sea, ²  about midnight the sailors suspected they were approaching some land. ³ 

Then he said to me, “The north chambers and the south chambers which face the courtyard are holy chambers where the priests ¹  who approach the Lord will eat the most holy offerings. There they will place the most holy offerings – the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, because the place is holy.

These must be on Aaron and his sons when they enter ¹  to the tent of meeting, or when they approach ²  the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they bear no iniquity and die. ³  It is to be a perpetual ordinance for him and for his descendants ⁴  after him. ⁵ 

but he must not go into the veil-canopy ¹  or step forward to the altar because he has a physical flaw. Thus ²  he must not profane my holy places, for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”

You must surround the king. Each of you must hold his weapon in his hand. Whoever approaches your ranks must be killed. You must accompany the king wherever he goes.” ¹ 

So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the sin offering calf which was for himself.

No longer may the Israelites approach the tent of meeting, or else they will bear their sin ¹  and die.

The king of Arad, the Canaanite king who lived in the south of the land of Canaan, heard about the approach of the Israelites.

When evening arrives he must wash himself with water and then at sunset he may reenter the camp.

When David was close to death, ¹  he told ²  Solomon his son:

¹ His thunder announces the coming storm, the cattle also, concerning the storm’s approach.

Who can uncover its outer covering? ¹  Who can penetrate to the inside of its armor? ² 

The coastlands ¹  see and are afraid; the whole earth ²  trembles; they approach and come.

When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves ¹  to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop. ² 

Now ¹  when it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who was also a disciple of Jesus. ² 

Now ¹  when evening had already come, since it was the day of preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath), ² 

Now when ¹  the days drew near ²  for him to be taken up, ³  Jesus ⁴  set out resolutely ⁵  to go to Jerusalem. ⁶ 

While ¹  they were talking and debating ²  these things, ³  Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them
