“But they – our ancestors ¹  – behaved presumptuously; they rebelled ²  and did not obey your commandments.

The king shows favor ¹  to a wise ²  servant, but his wrath falls ³  on one who acts shamefully.

Pharaoh will not listen to you. ¹  I will reach into ²  Egypt and bring out my regiments, ³  my people the Israelites, from the land of Egypt with great acts of judgment.
