The king 1  said to him, ‘I will judge you by your own words, 2  you wicked slave! 3  So you knew, did you, that I was a severe 4  man, withdrawing what I didn’t deposit and reaping what I didn’t sow?

Then 1  they watched him carefully and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. 2  They wanted to take advantage of what he might say 3  so that they could deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction 4  of the governor.

Thus 1  they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly, 2  and show no partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. 3

Thus 1  they were unable in the presence of the people to trap 2  him with his own words. 3  And stunned 4  by his answer, they fell silent.

So 1  Jesus said to them, “The people of this age 2  marry and are given in marriage.

They 1  will fall by the edge 2  of the sword and be led away as captives 3  among all nations. Jerusalem 4  will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 5
