But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, ¹  “Lord, save me!”

The ¹  governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

But ¹  he was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. They woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are about to die?”

Those who passed by defamed him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who can destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,

So ¹  they motioned ²  to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink. ³ 

So then ¹  whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered ²  in private rooms ³  will be proclaimed from the housetops. ⁴ 

And immediately he regained ¹  his sight and followed Jesus, ²  praising ³  God. When ⁴  all the people saw it, they too ⁵  gave praise to God.

So ¹  they all said, “Are you the Son of God, ²  then?” He answered ³  them, “You say ⁴  that I am.”

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” ¹  And after he said this he breathed his last.

Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced; my body ¹  also will live in hope,

Then he fell ¹  to his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” ²  When ³  he had said this, he died. ⁴ 

he said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” ¹  And the man ²  leaped up and began walking. ³ 

Some of the crowd concluded ¹  it was about ²  Alexander because the Jews had pushed him to the front. ³  Alexander, gesturing ⁴  with his hand, was wanting to make a defense ⁵  before the public assembly. ⁶ 

through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice ¹  in the hope of God’s glory.

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

Not ¹  only this, but we also rejoice ²  in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground ¹  on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.

But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed ¹  you may also rejoice and be glad. ² 

And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming in a loud voice: “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?”
