If, however, ¹  he is not redeemed in these ways, he must go free ²  in the jubilee year, he and his children with him,

When they came to the valley of Eshcol, they cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a staff ¹  between two men, as well as some of the pomegranates and the figs.

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations.

When ¹  you enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you occupy it and live in it,

When you came to this place King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out to make war and we defeated them.

The king of Jericho received this report: “Note well! ¹  Israelite men have come here tonight ²  to spy on the land.”

Ten thousand men, well-trained soldiers from all Israel, then made a frontal assault against Gibeah – the battle was fierce. ¹  But the Benjaminites did not realize that disaster was at their doorstep. ² 

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord arrived at the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly ¹  that the ground shook.
