Shaharaim fathered sons in Moab after he divorced his wives Hushim and Baara.

In Jerusalem ¹  David married ²  more wives and fathered more sons and daughters.

All the men of Judah ¹  were standing before the Lord, along with their infants, wives, and children.

Jehoiada chose two wives for him who gave him sons and daughters.

(They gave their word ¹  to send away their wives; their guilt offering was a ram from the flock for their guilt.)

Their children will be smashed to pieces before their very eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives raped.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your ¹  wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her

Marry and have sons and daughters. Find wives for your sons and allow your daughters get married so that they too can have sons and daughters. Grow in number; do not dwindle away.

but I will confirm ¹  my covenant with you. You will enter ²  the ark – you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
