He will not look on the streams, ¹  the rivers, which are the torrents ²  of honey and butter. ³ 

I rested and slept; I awoke, ¹  for the Lord protects ²  me.

They will fall down, ¹  but we ²  will stand firm. ³ 

where the birds make nests, near the evergreens in which the herons live. ¹ 

for all the tall mountains, for all the high hills, ¹ 

This is what the Lord says: “The profit ¹  of Egypt and the revenue ²  of Ethiopia, along with the Sabeans, those tall men, will be brought to you ³  and become yours. They will walk behind you, coming along in chains. ⁴  They will bow down to you and pray to you: ⁵  ‘Truly God is with ⁶  you; he has no peer; ⁷  there is no other God!’”

All the trees of the field will know that I am the Lord. I make the high tree low; I raise up the low tree. I make the green tree wither, and I make the dry tree sprout. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it!’”

In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubs of olive wood; each stood 15 feet ¹  high.

He fashioned two bronze pillars; each pillar was 27 feet ¹  high and 18 feet ²  in circumference.

He also made ten bronze movable stands. Each stand was six feet ¹  long, six feet ²  wide, and four-and-a-half feet ³  high.

In front of the temple he made two pillars which had a combined length ¹  of 52½ feet, ²  with each having a plated capital seven and one-half feet high. ³ 

Look, the sovereign master, the Lord who commands armies, is ready to cut off the branches with terrifying power. ¹  The tallest trees ²  will be cut down, the loftiest ones will be brought low.

Its boughs were strong, fit ¹  for rulers’ scepters; it reached up into the clouds. It stood out because of its height and its many branches. ² 

Consider Assyria, ¹  a cedar in Lebanon, ²  with beautiful branches, like a forest giving shade, and extremely tall; its top reached into the clouds.

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Because it was tall in stature, and its top reached into the clouds, and it was proud of its height,

The tree that you saw that grew large and strong, whose top reached to the sky, and which could be seen ¹  in all the land,

And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, and the one who rises to rule over the Gentiles, in him will the Gentiles hope.” ¹ 

God was with the boy as he grew. He lived in the wilderness and became an archer.

You give me ¹  your protective shield; ²  your willingness to help enables me to prevail. ³ 

The tops of the two pillars in the porch were shaped like lilies and were six feet high. ¹
