Omri’s supporters were stronger than those who supported Tibni son of Ginath. Tibni died; Omri became king.

Then they presented the decrees of the king to the king’s satraps and to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, who gave help to the people and to the temple of God.

You give me your protective shield; ¹  your right hand supports me; ²  your willingness to help ³  enables me to prevail. ⁴

With the timber the king made supports ¹  for the Lord’s temple and for the royal palace and stringed instruments ²  for the musicians. No one has seen so much of this fine timber to this very day. ³ )
