A continual dripping on a rainy day and a contentious wife ¹  are alike. ² 

that he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight.

Tell the ones who coat it with whitewash that it will fall. When there is a deluge of rain, hailstones ¹  will fall and a violent wind will break out. ² 

The sovereign Lord showed me this: I saw ¹  the sovereign Lord summoning a shower of fire. ²  It consumed the great deep and devoured the fields.

Then Elijah told Ahab, “Go on up and eat and drink, for the sound of a heavy rainstorm can be heard.” ¹ 

After I had spoken, they did not respond; my words fell on them drop by drop. ¹ 

They waited for me as people wait ¹  for the rain, and they opened their mouths ²  as for ³  the spring rains.

Can you raise your voice to the clouds so that a flood of water covers you? ¹

He says, ¹  “How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked? ²  (Selah)

Rest once more, my soul, ¹  for the Lord has vindicated you. ² 

The Lord is good to all, and has compassion on all he has made. ¹ 

But there will be delight ¹  for those who convict ²  the guilty, ³  and a pleasing blessing ⁴  will come on them.

Then ¹  he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land sprouted with a harvest.

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: In my rage I will make a violent wind break out. In my anger there will be a deluge of rain and hailstones in destructive fury.

So let us acknowledge him! ¹  Let us seek ²  to acknowledge ³  the Lord! He will come to our rescue as certainly as the appearance of the dawn, as certainly as the winter rain comes, as certainly as the spring rain that waters the land.”

Citizens of Zion, ¹  rejoice! Be glad because of what the Lord your God has done! ²  For he has given to you the early rains ³  as vindication. He has sent ⁴  to you the rains – both the early and the late rains ⁵  as formerly.

¹ Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Take handfuls of soot ²  from a furnace, and have Moses throw it ³  into the air while Pharaoh is watching. ⁴ 

So they took soot from a furnace and stood before Pharaoh, Moses threw it into the air, and it caused festering boils to break out on both people and animals.
