concerning sin, because ¹  they do not believe in me; ²

Abram believed ¹  the Lord, and the Lord ²  considered his response of faith ³  as proof of genuine loyalty. ⁴ 

However, through all this you did not have confidence in the Lord your God,

In you our ancestors ¹  trusted; they trusted in you ²  and you rescued them.

May integrity and godliness protect me, for I rely on you!

I hate those who serve worthless idols, ¹  but I trust in the Lord.

But I trust in you, O Lord! I declare, “You are my God!”

because they did not have faith in God, and did not trust his ability to deliver them. ¹ 

They believed his promises; ¹  they sang praises to him.

They rejected the fruitful land; ¹  they did not believe his promise. ² 

O Israel, trust in the Lord! He is their deliverer ¹  and protector. ² 

I had faith when I said, “I am severely oppressed.”

My blessing is on those people who trust in me, who put their confidence in me. ¹ 

and because of his word many more ¹  believed.
