For this very reason, ¹  make every effort ²  to add to your faith excellence, ³  to excellence, knowledge;

They surround me and say hateful things; ¹  they attack me for no reason.

For this reason that field has been called the “Field of Blood” to this day.

For this reason his parents said, “He is a mature adult, ¹  ask him.”) ² 

And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” ¹ 

“How much less, ¹  then, can I answer him ²  and choose my words ³  to argue ⁴  with ⁵  him! ⁶ 

he who ¹  crushes ²  me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds for no reason. ³ 

“For you took pledges ¹  from your brothers for no reason, and you stripped the clothing from the naked. ² 

So ¹  they began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “It is because we brought no bread.”

Now because Jesus was doing these things ¹  on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders ²  began persecuting ³  him.

(For Jesus ¹  knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said, “Not every one of you is ²  clean.”) ³ 

That is why many of you are weak and sick, and quite a few are dead. ¹ 

For this reason also I wrote you: ¹  to test you to see ²  if you are obedient in everything.

Consequently ¹  God sends on them a deluding influence ²  so that they will believe what is false.

and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? ¹ 

This is why the Father loves me ¹  – because I lay down my life, ²  so that I may take it back again.

Paul went to the Jews in the synagogue, ¹  as he customarily did, and on three Sabbath days he addressed ²  them from the scriptures,

For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities ¹  are God’s servants devoted to governing. ² 

For this reason, ¹  because I ²  have heard ³  of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love ⁴  for all the saints,

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become ¹  one flesh. ²
