In King Rehoboam’s fifth year, King Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem.

In the third year King Jehoshaphat of Judah came down to visit ¹  the king of Israel.

Ahaziah had become king over Judah in the eleventh year of Joram son of Ahab.

The city remained under siege until King Zedekiah’s eleventh year.

In the eighteenth year of the reign of King Jeroboam, Abijah became king over Judah.

There was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.

Asa passed away ¹  in the forty-first year of his reign.

This Passover was observed in the eighteenth year of Josiah’s reign.

He entered Jerusalem in the fifth month of the seventh year of the king.

You crown the year with your good blessings, ¹  and you leave abundance in your wake. ² 

In the seventh month of that very same year ¹  the prophet Hananiah died.

The city remained under siege until Zedekiah’s eleventh year.

Now Daniel lived on until the first ¹  year of Cyrus the king.

You will still be eating stored produce from the previous year ¹  and will have to clean out what is stored from the previous year to make room for new. ² 

Peninnah ¹  would behave this way year after year. Whenever Hannah ²  went up to the Lord’s house, Peninnah ³  would upset her so that she would weep and refuse to eat.
