He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and became anguished and distressed.

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

Then two outlaws were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

and to put on sandals but not to wear two tunics. ¹ 

And they crucified two outlaws with him, one on his right and one on his left. ¹ 

And the temple curtain ¹  was torn in two, from top to bottom.

But Jesus ¹  said to him, “Man, ²  who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?” ³ 

There will be two women grinding grain together; ¹  one will be taken and the other left.” ² 

He also saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. ¹ 

So ¹  they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” ²  Then he told them, “It is enough.” ³ 

Two other criminals ¹  were also led away to be executed with him.

because the sun’s light failed. ¹  The temple curtain ²  was torn in two.

While ¹  they were perplexed ²  about this, suddenly ³  two men stood beside them in dazzling ⁴  attire.

Again the next day John ¹  was standing there ²  with two of his disciples.

When John’s ¹  two disciples heard him say this, ²  they followed Jesus. ³ 

It is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. ¹ 

So they ¹  proposed two candidates: ²  Joseph called Barsabbas (also called Justus) and Matthias.

These two ¹  went down and prayed for them so that they would receive the Holy Spirit.

(We were in all two hundred seventy-six ¹  persons on the ship.) ² 

Two or three prophets should speak and the others should evaluate what is said.
