For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

Obey ¹  with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord ²  and not people,

The whole hill country ¹  will be yours; though it is a forest, you can clear it and it will be entirely yours. ²  You can conquer the Canaanites, though they have chariots with iron-rimmed wheels and are strong.”

This is what the Lord says: ¹  “Even though ²  they are powerful ³  – and what is more, ⁴  even though their army is numerous ⁵  – nevertheless, ⁶  they will be destroyed ⁷  and trickle away! ⁸  Although I afflicted you, I will afflict you no more. ⁹ 

For even if I made you sad ¹  by my letter, ²  I do not regret having written it ³  (even though I did regret it, ⁴  for ⁵  I see that my letter made you sad, ⁶  though only for a short time).

The rock badger ¹  is unclean to you because it chews the cud even though its hoof is not divided.

And life ¹  will be brighter ²  than the noonday; though there be darkness, ³  it will be like the morning.

All this has happened to us, even though we have not rejected you ¹  or violated your covenant with us. ² 

He will rescue ¹  me and protect me from those who attack me, ²  even though ³  they greatly outnumber me. ⁴ 

I will tell about your justice, and all day long proclaim your salvation, ¹  though I cannot fathom its full extent. ² 

Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it ¹  will not reach you.

where your ancestors challenged my authority, ¹  and tried my patience, even though they had seen my work.

Though the Lord is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away.

though it never saw the light of day ¹  nor knew anything, ²  yet it has more rest ³  than that man –

Though he causes us ¹  grief, he then has compassion on us ²  according to the abundance of his loyal kindness. ³ 

So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther, ¹ 

Last of all, as though to one born at the wrong time, ¹  he appeared to me also.
