Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! For there will be great distress ¹  on the earth and wrath against this people.

When ¹  Jesus heard this he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Both those who went ahead and those who followed kept shouting, “Hosanna! ¹  Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! ² 

“If ¹  you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners ²  love those who love them. ³ 

For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous before God, but those who do the law will be declared righteous. ¹ 

So what benefit ¹  did you then reap ²  from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.

but as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” ¹ 

And I say this, brothers and sisters: ¹  The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

Like the one made of dust, so too are those made of dust, and like the one from heaven, so too those who are heavenly.

For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing –

But from those who were influential ¹  (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people ² ) – those influential leaders ³  added ⁴  nothing to my message. ⁵ 

All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls. ¹ 

Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, ¹  and those ill-treated as though you too felt their torment. ² 

Slaves, ¹  be subject ²  to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are perverse.

In those days John the Baptist came into the wilderness ¹  of Judea proclaiming,

“Blessed are those who hunger ¹  and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

But I say to you, love your enemy and ¹  pray for those who persecute you,
