This is the disciple who testifies about these things and has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

These things may be treated as an allegory, ¹  for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.

So it was necessary for the sketches ¹  of the things in heaven to be purified with these sacrifices, ²  but the heavenly things themselves required ³  better sacrifices than these.

For the unconverted ¹  pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

When ¹  Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed by his teaching,

Now when ¹  Jesus finished these parables, he moved on from there.

All the law and the prophets depend ¹  on these two commandments.”

I tell you the truth, ¹  this generation will be held responsible for all these things! ² 

And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

When ¹  Jesus had finished saying all these things, he told his disciples,

The man ¹  said to him, “Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyed ²  all these laws ³  since my youth.” ⁴ 

The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ¹  There is no other commandment greater than these.”

But Mary treasured up all these words, pondering in her heart what they might mean. ¹ 

Instead, pursue ¹  his ²  kingdom, ³  and these things will be given to you as well.

The man ¹  replied, “I have wholeheartedly obeyed ²  all these laws ³  since my youth.” ⁴ 

because these are days of vengeance, ¹  to fulfill ²  all that is written.

But these words seemed like pure nonsense ¹  to them, and they did not believe them.

While ¹  they were talking and debating ²  these things, ³  Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them

These things happened in Bethany ¹  across the Jordan River ²  where John was baptizing.

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹
