For since you are so wise, you put up with ¹  fools gladly.

You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.

and after braiding ¹  a crown of thorns, ²  they put it on his head. They ³  put a staff ⁴  in his right hand, and kneeling down before him, they mocked him: ⁵  “Hail, king of the Jews!” ⁶ 

Then he said to Thomas, “Put ¹  your finger here, and examine ²  my hands. Extend ³  your hand and put it ⁴  into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe.” ⁵ 

The angel said to him, “Fasten your belt ¹  and put on your sandals.” Peter ²  did so. Then the angel ³  said to him, “Put on your cloak ⁴  and follow me.”

You put all things under his control.” ¹  For when he put all things under his control, he left nothing outside of his control. At present we do not yet see all things under his control, ² 

For God said, ¹  ‘Honor your father and mother’ ²  and ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ³ 

‘The Lord said to my lord, ¹  “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’? ² 

Above ¹  his head they put the charge against him, ²  which read: ³  “This is Jesus, the king of the Jews.”

And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, ¹  worth less than a penny.

Jesus ¹  answered him, ²  “It is said, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’” ³ 

He ¹  said, “I tell you the truth, ²  this poor widow has put in more than all of them. ³ 

So ¹  they seized ²  them and put them in jail ³  until the next day (for it was already evening).

We put out to sea ¹  from Troas ²  and sailed a straight course ³  to Samothrace, ⁴  the next day to Neapolis, ⁵ 

From there we put out to sea ¹  and sailed under the lee ²  of Cyprus because the winds were against us.

After we had sailed across the open sea ¹  off Cilicia and Pamphylia, ²  we put in ³  at Myra ⁴  in Lycia. ⁵ 

There the centurion ¹  found ²  a ship from Alexandria ³  sailing for Italy, and he put us aboard it.

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires. ¹ 

And let us not put Christ ¹  to the test, as some of them did, and were destroyed by snakes. ² 

But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion ¹  I have for you,
