Then Peter and the other disciple set out to go to the tomb. ¹ 

So when Peter saw him, ¹  he asked Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”

Peter looked directly ¹  at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!”

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, ¹  replied, ²  “Rulers of the people and elders, ³ 

But Peter and the apostles replied, ¹  “We must obey ²  God rather than people. ³ 

Then Peter and John placed their hands on the Samaritans, ¹  and they received the Holy Spirit. ² 

So ¹  Peter ²  stayed many days in Joppa with a man named ³  Simon, a tanner. ⁴ 

Now ¹  send men to Joppa ²  and summon a man named Simon, ³  who is called Peter.

Then ¹  a voice said ²  to him, “Get up, Peter; slaughter ³  and eat!”

But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!” ¹ 

They ¹  called out to ask if Simon, known as Peter, ²  was staying there as a guest.

So when ¹  Peter came in, Cornelius met ²  him, fell ³  at his feet, and worshiped ⁴  him.

But Peter helped him up, ¹  saying, “Stand up. I too am a mere mortal.” ² 

Peter ¹  continued talking with him as he went in, and he found many people gathered together. ² 

for they heard them speaking in tongues and praising ¹  God. Then Peter said,

So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, ¹  the circumcised believers ²  took issue with ³  him,

But Peter began and explained it to them point by point, ¹  saying,

I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter; slaughter ¹  and eat!’

At daybreak ¹  there was great consternation ²  among the soldiers over what had become of Peter.

Then ¹  the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, ²  how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”
