But I said, ‘Certainly not, Lord, for nothing defiled or ritually unclean ¹  has ever entered my mouth!’

as sorrowful, but always rejoicing, as poor, but making many rich, as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

For we have brought nothing into this world and so ¹  we cannot take a single thing out either.

My brothers and sisters, ¹  consider it nothing but joy ²  when you fall into all sorts of trials,

The ¹  seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth ²  choke the word, ³  so it produces nothing.

And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say. ¹ 

And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar is bound by nothing. ¹  But if anyone swears by the gift on it he is bound by the oath.’

And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. ¹  It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man. ² 

but ¹  worldly cares, the seductiveness of wealth, ²  and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, ³  and it produces nothing.

He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff ¹  – no bread, no bag, ²  no money in their belts –

There is nothing outside of a person that can defile him by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles him.” ¹ 

In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So ¹  Jesus ²  called his disciples and said to them,

“I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

Then ¹  they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them. ²  And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

where for forty days he endured temptations ¹  from the devil. He ²  ate nothing ³  during those days, and when they were completed, ⁴  he was famished.

He ¹  said to them, “Take nothing for your ²  journey – no staff, ³  no bag, ⁴  no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic. ⁵ 

Look, I have given you authority to tread ¹  on snakes and scorpions ²  and on the full force of the enemy, ³  and nothing will ⁴  hurt you.

“I ¹  tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, ²  and after that have nothing more they can do.

And we rightly so, for we are getting what we deserve for what we did, but this man has done nothing ¹  wrong.”

When they were all satisfied, Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces that are left over, so that nothing is wasted.”
