Then all of Judah brought the tithe of the grain, the new wine, and the olive oil to the storerooms.

You bring new witnesses ¹  against me, and increase your anger against me; relief troops ²  come against me.

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song! Praise him in the assembly of the godly! ² 

When the hay is removed and new grass appears, and the grass from the hills is gathered in,

I hate your new moon festivals and assemblies; they are a burden that I am tired of carrying.

How precious and fair! ¹  Grain will make the young men flourish and new wine the young women.

That is why ¹  a man leaves ²  his father and mother and unites with ³  his wife, and they become a new family. ⁴ 

May God give you the dew of the sky ¹  and the richness ²  of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

You must count fifty days – until the day after the seventh Sabbath – and then ¹  you must present a new grain offering to the Lord.

And your raised offering will be credited ¹  to you as though it were grain from the threshing floor or as new wine ²  from the winepress.

You must give them the best of your ¹  grain, new wine, and olive oil, as well as the best of your wool when you shear your flocks.

If you build a new house, you must construct a guard rail ¹  around your roof to avoid being culpable ²  in the event someone should fall from it.

My teaching will drop like the rain, my sayings will drip like the dew, ¹  as rain drops upon the grass, and showers upon new growth.

They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known; to new gods who had recently come along, gods your ancestors ¹  had not known about.

Israel lives in safety, the fountain of Jacob is quite secure, ¹  in a land of grain and new wine; indeed, its heavens ²  rain down dew. ³ 

These wineskins we filled were brand new, but look how they have ripped. Our clothes and sandals have worn out because it has been a very long journey.”

That entire generation passed away; ¹  a new generation grew up ²  that had not personally experienced the Lord’s presence or seen what he had done for Israel. ³ 

God chose new leaders, ¹  then fighters appeared in the city gates; ²  but, I swear, not a shield or spear could be found, ³  among forty military units ⁴  in Israel.

Micah said to him, “Where do you come from?” He replied, “I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah. I am looking for a new place to live.” ¹ 

May the Lord enable each of you to find ¹  security ²  in the home of a new husband!” ³  Then she kissed them goodbye and they wept loudly. ⁴
