He says to himself, ¹  “I will never ²  be upended, because I experience no calamity.” ³ 

He says to himself, ¹  “God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.” ² 

In my self-confidence I said, “I will never be upended.” ¹ 

But he will join his ancestors; ¹  they will never again see the light of day. ² 

In you, O Lord, I have taken shelter! Never let me be humiliated!

I asked, ¹  “Will the Lord reject me forever? Will he never again show me his favor?

Once and for all I have vowed by my own holiness, I will never deceive ¹  David.

So they proclaim that the Lord, my protector, is just and never unfair. ¹ 

He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be upended.

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹ 

I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have revived me.

The righteous will never be moved, but the wicked will not inhabit the land. ¹ 

You will never come back to this land to which you will long to return!” ¹ 

I will bring on you lasting shame and lasting disgrace which will never be forgotten!’”

Justice must flow like torrents of water, righteous actions ¹  like a stream that never dries up.

Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Go away from me, you lawbreakers!’ ¹
