Do not go out hastily to litigation, ¹  or ²  what will you do afterward when your neighbor puts you to shame?

They are like lusty, well-fed ¹  stallions. Each of them lusts after ²  his neighbor’s wife.

Instruct ¹  the people that each man and each woman is to request ²  from his or her neighbor ³  items of silver and gold.” ⁴ 

But if a man willfully attacks his neighbor to kill him cunningly, ¹  you will take him even from my altar that he may die.

“If men fight, and one strikes his neighbor with a stone or with his fist and he does not die, but must remain in bed, ¹ 

If you do take ¹  the garment of your neighbor in pledge, you must return it to him by the time the sun goes down, ² 

You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. ¹  You must not withhold ²  the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.

You must not take vengeance or bear a grudge ¹  against the children of your people, but you must love your neighbor as yourself. ²  I am the Lord.

If a man ¹  commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, ²  both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

You shall do the same to his donkey, his clothes, or anything else your neighbor ¹  has lost and you have found; you must not refuse to get involved. ² 

When you enter the vineyard of your neighbor you may eat as many grapes as you please, ¹  but you must not take away any in a container. ² 

When you make any kind of loan to your neighbor, you may not go into his house to claim what he is offering as security. ¹ 

The neighbor women named him, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi.” They named him Obed. ¹  Now he became the father of Jesse – David’s father!

The Lord has done exactly as I prophesied! ¹  The Lord has torn the kingdom from your hand and has given it to your neighbor David!

“When someone is accused of sinning against his neighbor and the latter pronounces a curse on the alleged offender before your altar in this temple, ¹ 

If my heart has been enticed by a woman, and I have lain in wait at my neighbor’s door, ¹ 

I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret. I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude. ¹ 

Do not say to your neighbor, “Go! Return tomorrow and I will give it,” when ¹  you have it with you at the time. ² 

So it is with ¹  the one who has sex with ²  his neighbor’s wife; no one ³  who touches ⁴  her will escape ⁵  punishment. ⁶ 

Don’t set foot too frequently ¹  in your neighbor’s house, lest he become weary ²  of you and hate you.
